Our Market

Our customers are imaging organizations of all sizes and scopes who want to stay focused on diagnostic imaging and good patient outcomes, and not on electronic data storage management. Our customers trust our software and technology, with over 17 years of operational history and 2.75 billion medical images under management.

DeepWell is narrowly focused on providing long term storage and availability of medical image data, utilizing cloud technology. Our cloud services are designed and intended specifically for medical imaging organizations of all sizes and scopes. This is what we mean when we say “one storage cloud does not fit all requirements.” You will not find consumer data, e.g. the electronic family photo album, or for that matter any non-medical information, on our infrastructure.

At DeepWell we provide the data storage and management technology and infrastructure to help diagnostic imaging organizations meet their stringent data retention, DR, and BC regulatory requirements. We do this by providing superior technology at affordable prices. Our technology and infrastructure is purpose built to provide you with a reliable, always available and secure storage and archive platform for your medical image data.

DeepWell provides the underlying software and cloud storage infrastructure for small, midsized, large and enterprise imaging organizations and IDN’s. Small, single practice imaging organizations have the same storage and archive requirements as large hospitals and IDN’s. HIPAA (and other) regulatory compliance requirements call for lengthy data retention periods, typically seven years and up, along with DR and BC contingency plans for diagnostic image data. Our solutions provide these functions for affordable, one-time ingestion fees.

You only get reimbursed once for a diagnostic procedure, so why should you have recurring storage costs earmarked for: hardware and software maintenance, IT management, data center real estate, data migrations, storage capacity expansions, storage obsolescence, etc.? Most storage technologies have a 3-5 year life cycle. Your data will have a minimum of a seven year plus life, so why not implement a storage infrastructure that’s designed, and priced, for long term data preservation?

Remember, you can’t buy insurance after the accident, but the insurance should be affordable and reliable.
